St Marychurch & Babbacombe

Conservative Club

Welcome To The Club!

Latest Government Requirements

A face covering must be worn when entering the club and should not be removed until you are seated. Your face covering must also be worn when you are moving around the club e.g to visit the ladies or gents toilets.

You are no longer permitted to approach the bar area and we are operating a waitress service at your table. Please be patient with our bar staff while we adjust to this new rule.

Due to the new Government guidelines regarding changes to the closure times of pubs and bars we will be

closing at the slightly earlier time of 10pm on a Friday & Saturday night with immediate effect.

Please note that our Live Act on a Saturday night will now begin at 7pm instead of 8pm.

Thank you to all our members who have come along to the club to enjoy the entertainment provided since we

were able to re-book the acts. It has been lovely to see you and we hope we can continue to offer you a safe

environment for a little social time out in the weeks to come!

  • Hand sanitiser will be available in our entrance area for your use on entry. This will also be available in other areas. Whilst visiting us, please look after your own personal hygiene by washing your hands regularly.

  • No standing is permitted around the bar area - please do not move the chairs and tables as they have been positioned in a specific way to follow Government guidelines

  • When you leave us, please leave any glasses on the table as these will be removed and your table sanitised for the next patrons by the bar staff.

  • Gaming machines will be available for use with hand sanitiser and paper towels readily available nearby and must be cleaned by the user before and after play.

  • Our snooker room is now open although restrictions apply; only two tables will be available due to social distancing guidelines. Only players are to be present in the snooker room at all times ( no spectators). A full list of snooker room rules will be available at the club.

  • Based on Government guidelines, we are not permitted to turn on our air conditioning.

  • A full risk assessment has been conducted and certificate displayed.

  • To further protect our members from any contamination in the club, we will be dispersing a decontamination aerosol canister at close of business on Friday night 23 October. This process ensures the dispersing of contents in a single application, allowing large scale decontamination of microorganisms and the quick and effective disinfecting of all surfaces. With immediate effect, this process will be carried out on a monthly basis from the 23rd Oct.

To ensure our club premises remains a safe and protected environment for our members, we have

followed all of the necessary guidelines set out by the Government.

There are some significant changes to the procedures in the club:

  • Due to the latest Government guidelines you are not permitted to order from the bar.

  • Once you hav registered your name on our track & trace register, please find a seat where a member of the bar staff will take your order and bring it to your table. The track & trace registration is a legal requirement.

  • A social distancing rule of two metres will be required inside the building where designated walkways are visible and seating positioned in a specified layout - our garden area will be open and the same two metre distancing rule will apply.

  • Only socialise indoors with members of up to two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household)

  • Only socialise outdoors with a group of 6 people from different households

  • Entry to our club will be via the main door only, you may exit through the garden or the disabled access route.

Located in Manor Road, Torquay, our club provides a safe and secure alternative to pubs where you can meet up with friends and make new ones! It is an ideal venue to enjoy a relaxing lunchtime or evening drink with good company.
We offer a wide range of cask and keg bitters from just £2.75 per pint, lagers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and tea/coffee, all very competitively priced.
We usually offer a wide range of facilities including BT Sport TV , three full sized snooker tables, darts, cards & cribbage, gaming machines and Free Wi-Fi - unfortunately not all of these are available at the current time as detailed above in our update!

We have very successful live acts to entertain you every Saturday night, fortnightly Sunday bingo & club quiz nights and a number of different draws for you to take part in but again not all of these are available at the moment.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the club or would like to come and have a look around — press the door buzzer and one of our friendly staff will be delighted to help. We are open every day and look forward to seeing you soon.
